Poll: Do you work on one design project at a time or do you multitask?

Freelancers often make good multitaskers because we have to get a lot done in very little time. But some of us prefer to task switch - where you have multiple projects going, but you only work on one at a time. And of course some of us only work on one thing at a time.

Editor Round-Up

I've been working a lot on writing HTML editor profiles in order to get my Best Editor lists ready for this year. This week, I completed the following editor profiles. This is a varied list. There are Windows, Mac, and even Linux editors. There are WYSIWYG and text editors, free editors and expensive ones. If you've used any of these editors I'd love to see your review of them.

Managing Logs in Apache

The two log files that most Apache setups generate are access.log and error.log. You can also choose to add more logging for things like URL rewriting, or gzip compression. As these logs grow in size and number, they become harder to manage. Learn how to manage logging more easily in Apache.

HTML Challenge – First Entry and a New Challenge

Creating a 3-column Web page is easy with tables, but can be challenging with just CSS. Entry 1 by Salman Arshad in the first HTML challenge shows that it can be done, and done well. Have you created a 3-column Web page with just CSS and HTML? Show off your work in the first HTML Challenge.

This week's challenge is a challenge for designers. Choosing a good color palette can be hard. But one of the most underused palettes is the monochromatic palette. This is where you take one color hue and modify it with just shades of white and black to get colors that look good together. Have you designed a Web page using a monochromatic color scheme? Submit your entry to HTML Challenge #2.
